Government Medical College, Amritsar, formerly known as Glancy Medical College, is one of the oldest medical institutions in North India. The college offers undergraduate (MBBS) and various postgraduate medical courses. The campus is equipped with modern facilities, including lecture theaters, laboratories, and a central library. In 2012, a nine-story Bebe Nanki Mother & Child Care Centre and the Guru Teg Bahadur Diagnostic & Super-specialty Complex were added, enhancing the infrastructure and medical services.
The college is associated with several hospitals, including Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, and Ram Lal Eye and ENT Hospital, providing comprehensive healthcare services and practical training opportunities for students.
