Shri B M Patil Medical College Hospital & Research Centre 

​Shri B. M. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, located in Vijayapura, Karnataka, is a constituent college of BLDE (Deemed to be University). Established in 1986, the institution offers a comprehensive range of medical programs, including an undergraduate MBBS program with an annual intake of 200 students, postgraduate programs in 21 disciplines, a super-specialty program in Urology (M.Ch.), Ph.D. programs in 17 fields, as well as various fellowship, diploma, and certificate courses in medical and allied sciences.

The college campus spans 71 acres, featuring a total built-up area of 1,447,660 square feet. The infrastructure includes 68 classrooms, 66 of which are equipped with audio-visual facilities, three auditoriums, and 22 conference rooms. The central library houses 24,733 books and 19,785 e-books, with a seating capacity for 750 individuals. Additionally, the campus offers hostel facilities for both male and female students, accommodating 981 MBBS students, and provides residential facilities for 263 faculty members.

The attached teaching hospital is a 1,338-bed facility, comprising 32 operation theatres and 15 intensive care units (ICUs). The hospital features expansive and ergonomically designed wards, high-tech operation theatres, intensive cardiac care units, emergency units, and various other healthcare facilities. On average, the hospital treats approximately 2,610 outpatients daily across its 35 outpatient departments. ​
